1. Learning more about Harvard – Visits and program specific questions

Visiting Harvard
HUMA strongly encourages prospective students to visit Harvard and take advantage of all the events created by the Admissions Office for visitors: Information Sessions, Visiting a Class, Having Lunch with Students, Campus Tour, and other events happening in Mexico and across the campus. Visiting Harvard will allow you to experience everything this great university has to offer.


HUMAs official Welcome and yearly presentation

HUMA members host and annual Welcome to recently admitted students and different info sessions in cities across Mexico.  Normally the Welcome meeting is held on August of every year in Mexico City.

 

2. Applying to Harvard – HUMAs Mentorship Program

Once you have decided you want to apply to Harvard and are certain about the program that you will apply to, and if you are a Mexican citizen either living in Mexico or in the US, HUMA provides you with a unique opportunity to get help from an Application Mentor who can give you advice on your application.

  • Our Application Mentors are First and Second Year students volunteer members of the HUMA community that have been in your shoes
  • Application Mentors will guide you in your application process with tips and recommendations on your basic requirements for each school.
  • Deadlines:Applicants wishing to apply for the following academic year will be only considered for the HUMA Mentorship Program if their application is submitted six months before their respective school’s deadline.
    • Application Form. The best way to apply for the HUMA Mentorship Program is first to familiarize with the program you are applying to, understand all the requirements and prepare a set of specific questions you need your Mentor to help you with. Once you are ready to apply please fill out this form.

HUMAs Winter & Spring Welcome Events

During both the Winter Welcome Weekend (February) and the Summer Welcome Weekend (August), admitted students are invited to visit and experience Harvard at its best. HUMA typically hosts events to gather HUMA members with admitted students. These events offer admitted students the opportunity to learn more about their experiences in the Cambridge area, as well as their reasons for coming to Harvard...

Accommodation by HUMAs members can be usually provided when needed. If have been accepted to Harvard please contact the specific HUMA representative for each school and ask him about it.

4. Being part of HUMAs at Harvard

HUMA offers exciting leadership opportunities to First Year students a couple of months into the program, including, Admissions, Cultural, Careers, and other committees etc.

While at Harvard, you have the opportunity to help shape the future of HUMA and Mexico!
